West Coast inspired Dillon Beach Resort is nestled between rustic ranches, rolling agrarian hillsides and perched upon the unparalleled beauty of the Northern Californian Pacific coast. Blink and you’ll miss the turn-off for Dillon Beach in the quaint town of Tomales, Marin County’s northernmost town. Day-trippers, weekenders and locals alike enjoy the expansive, dog-friendly private beach. The perfect escape, only 30 minutes from the 101 in Petaluma, Dillon Beach feels worlds away. Dillon Beach Resort sits on 55-coastal acres on the Marin-Sonoma County Line, between the mouth of Tomales and the entrance to Bodega Bay. Views of the magnificent Point Reyes Peninsula can be enjoyed from any vantage point on the property. The historic inn was built in the late 1800s and has only changed hands three times in over 130 years. Recently acquired by a small handful of native Marin County families, the resort is currently undergoing an all-embracing renovation in the coming months. Breathing new life and love into this special place to eat, play + stay.
At Dillon Beach General Store + Coastal Kitchen we embrace the philosophy of “slow food” in a fast-paced environment, with a major emphasis on locally and sustainably grown food. The integral front of house positions; cashiers, baristas, servers and hosts, are not only tasked with efficient multitasking during fast-paced rushes, but also with educating our customers about our thoughtful gourmet offerings and, most importantly imparting warmth and hospitality through friendly customer service.
Our market + restaurant will only be as good as the people who work for it. We are on the hunt for great people to help shape our future of food, to bring energy, ideas and determination, and to nurture and develop our special hospitality and food culture.
We need people for whom work is more than just ‘9 to 5’, who believe in making the world a better, more interesting and delicious place. We are looking for…
· a hustler – someone who can make a lot happen in a short amount of time
· a doer – someone who loves nothing more than rolling up their sleeves
· a lover of our version of ‘special’ – someone who believes in the slow food movement and the importance of sustainable agriculture and supporting small, local family farmers and thoughtful, artisanal purveyors and products
: Come by and fill out an application in person at the General Store during hours of operation or you can e-mail your resume to [email protected] and a brief note describing your interest and background in the food service industry with two professional references.
: Part-time and full-time positions will be considered.
