Hi friends, family, and browsing strangers! I I bought a beautiful vintage food truck and cant wait to get cooking for all of you soon. I can’t wait to serve my community, use my food truck business to give back and would greatly appreciate any support you can offer to my campaign The Bodega – California Street Food campaign.

To give you all a little background on me, I started cooking in restaurants at 15 and have been cooking ever since. After graduating from the Le Cordon Bleu in Phoenix, Az with a bachelors in restaurant management, I discovered my passion for local sourcing and ingredients at Quiessence in Phoenix and then to Eccolo in Berekely. For the last 4 years I was the chef of Saltwater Oyster Depot in Inverness, Ca and since my departure I’ve been looking for a job where i could source the best product from my farmer friends, cook for the people that i love cooking for, and be as creative as I wanted. After a few months of searching and realizing that this job isn’t out there, I decided I have to create it for myself. I’m excited, to say the least!

While the truck is fully functional for the most part, it does need some TLC and some scrubbing.

The general cleaning has started and there is much more to do to make this truck the classy party mobile its meant to be. While the bright orange is eye catching, I’m thinking a coastal sea foam green. Painting this 26′ beast isn’t cheap and neither are the permits to get us legal and ready to hit the streets! Any donations will go towards the painting and fees as well as smallwares and all the bits that make a mobile food business run.

Once up and running, The Bodega will serve the streets of Sonoma County as well as festivals, events, and private dining experiences. I also hope to be able to give back to the community by offering my services for fundraising purposes and well as holding monthly affordable community dinners. As always with my cooking, The Bodega will be committed to sourcing from local producers as well as growing some of our own produce.

I hope to have the truck up and running by the first week of April and hope to reach my goal by March 31st. I appreciate any support that you are able to offer and can not wait to serve all of you soon!
