I have a three year old Narragansett Turkey Hen. Her mate was killed by a dog, and she is lonesome. She was hand raised, and is friendly. When we let her out, she comes to the window and looks in. She lays fairly consistently, and her eggs are good, but she is not a breed that one would normally get for turkey egg production. She is gorgeous right now in her winter plumage. Given a quiet place to nest she will raise babies and take good care of them. There are other breeders of Narragansett turkeys in Sonoma County if you want to get her a mate, but you will need to find a way to separate her from her mate while she is nesting if you do get a tom turkey.. I am asking $10 in hopes it will weed out people who want free turkey soup. She is a sweetheart.
